Hp 17-by006nm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have realtek RTL8821CE wireless card in my HP 17-by006nm laptop  and I would like to replace it with intel AX200NGW. I've noticed that RTL8821CE has one antenna slot and AX200NGW has two antenna slots (aux and main). My laptop has only one antenna cable.  If it's possible to do replacement in which slot would I need to connect  built in antenna cable? Would I need to add another antena to laptop?

Hi:

You would have to add a second antenna wire if you want the Bluetooth to work.

If you don't care about Bluetooth, then you connect the single wire to the AX200's Main antenna terminal.

You have to make sure you buy the non-vPro version of the AX card in order for it to have any chance of working.

I recommend this model if you can get it in Croatia...check eBay.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro 160 MHz PCI-e     HP part # L35282-005

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Since the Intel AX200 was not a supported model wifi card for your notebook's model series, there may be a slight chance that it doesn't work.
