Replace Realtek RTL8723DE to a 5 ghz card

Hi!

  I have a Laptop Model 15-dy0013dx with a Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n and I want to replace that card with a new one with dual band wifi, like RTL8821CE.

I couldn´t find wifi cards compatible with my card.

I would appreciate if someone can recommend me a wifi card compatible with my laptop model.

Hi:

You can upgrade to this card with a direct swap.  This card works with one antenna cable.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model at the HP parts store or on eBay.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723 on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

On a dual band wireless N router, it would have a maximum throughput of 150 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
