Hi, I have a laptop Elitebook 845 G8 with Wifi5 support via "Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac (2x2) and Bluetooth 5 Combo".
Is it possible to replace that card with a Wifi6 card such as "Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (2x2) and Bluetooth 5 combo, non-vPro"?
Both cards are available as spares via HP, but are they also compatible as upgrades (downgrade for that sake....)?

Hi:
Yes, you should be able to replace the Realtek RTL8822BE Wi-Fi card with this model:
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro Hp Part # L35282-001
HP offered the card in your notebook's model series. See chapter 3 of the service manual.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
This one would probably work too:
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro L35282-005.
That is the one HP installed in my HP 15-ee0047nr notebook which has a Ryzen 5 4500U processor.

Hi Paul, Thx for your reply - appreciated! I saw coincidentally another thread where the amount of antennas was mentioned. Do you know if there any issues with the antennas i.e. only one one antenna available inside the laptop, whereas two are needed.....?

Hi Paul,
I highly appreiate your efforts answering my post!
When I posted the question, I copied the spec. details from the HP site after entering S/N number and registration and all. There, the HP product specification clearly indicates my laptop contains the card mentioned = "Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac (2x2) and Bluetooth 5 Combo".
However I now realized from the laptop's "Device settings" that it does in fact indicate that a "Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" is installed (?). Of course I'm slightly frustrated notizing that info...... (In the device settings re. Bluetooth it says that a "Realtek Bluetooth 5 Adapter" is installed!).
Do you happen to know the difference from BE to CE or are able to conclude that the answer re. upgrade to "Wifi6" turns out to be the same?
Sorry to bother you and the community again - I should of course have noted that detail from the start.......!! 😴😖

You're very welcome.
I was wondering about your notebook having the older generation Realtek RTL8822BE wifi adapter installed but I assumed you were looking at it in the device manager.
The Realtek RTL8822CE is a revision/update of the BE and also has two Wi-Fi antenna wires attached to it, so no worries.
