Yes, you have to first uninstall of the old Wi-Fi adapter and driver in the device manager before installing a different Wi-Fi card.

 

Now I recommend you update the driver to the last one Intel released for the 7260 AC.

 

It should be newer than the one W10 installed by default.

That is the driver I have installed for my notebook's Intel 7260.

No, that actually screwed me up. Uninstalled the old one, downloaded the most up to date drivers, and nothing but sorrow.

 

Finally, I uninstalled the new drivers via device manager, rebooted and let windows put it's own drivers in and that's how I got those decent numbers. Ain't ever gonna touch them again....😂

I have ordered a new cpu though...😁
