HI, I have a HP Folio 13-1000ea Notebook PC with the original intel centrino wireless n1030 wireless module.
I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of years ago and recently my wireless connection has been very temperamental. It will drop out two to three times a day and the only way I can reconnet is to reset my router. The wireless connection is not to blame as my phone and other devices stay connected. I believe the wireless module has been discontinued and there are no drivers available to update it.
Hence I tried to change the wireless module directly for the Intel dual band wireless-ac 7260, however after replacing the wireless module I get the error message:
Wireless Module not supported
The system has deteted a Wireless modue Installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart.
WLAN Module ID (702)
Many thanks

Hi:
When a notebook has a BIOS whitelist, normally the only card that will work is the one that was installed.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try one of the other two cards listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual.
You must buy the card with that HP part number on it, or it will not work.
If I was going to try one of the other two cards listed, this would be the one I would go with first:
Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 Wi-Fi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 655795-005
At least the Atheros card has W10 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers.
The Broadcom card does not have W10 Wi-Fi drivers but has W10 Bluetooth drivers.
However, from my understanding W10 may install a driver for the Broadcom card.
Search on eBay by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
