I have a HP Pavilion 15-n006sv that has a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter which is single band 2.4ghz and has 2 antenna cables.
I am currently thinking replacing it with an Intel dual band 7260HMW AC
SPS 710661-001 or SPS 784639-005
I don't know if it has a whitelist so i don't know if it will work with either of them.
Is there anyone who has succsessfuly swapped a dual band WLAN card that will work with this model?
Thanks.

The Intel SPS 710661-001 card should work.

You're very welcome.
When I ordered the same card for my HP 350 G1 notebook several years ago, it took around 3 weeks to get to Illinois, USA from China.
One thing to know...for whatever reason, there is no W10 Bluetooth driver left from any place other than Dell, so you can use the driver from the link below:
Intel Bluetooth Driver | Driver Details | Dell US
W10 will install the Wi-Fi driver, but Dell has the last driver that Intel released for the card which is about a year newer than the driver W10 installed, I believe.

Thank you again for the reply!
I believe it will take a little bit longer to get to Greece.
Thankfully a user from Intel community when he saw the discontinuation notice, saved away copies of the drivers and i've already got the final release of the drivers.
If it is allowed i can post the link to access his archive with multiple Intel drivers.

You're very welcome.
Sure, you can do that if you want.
I actually saved the files too before Intel pulled them several years ago.
My folder has lots of drivers besides that one, though.
Download, unzip and run the Bluetooth driver in the Intel 7260AC WiFi & Bluetooth Drivers.zip file.

According to the Intel community member "There was a bug in the 7260/3160 driver/firmware that made it incompatible with WiFi 6 Routers. In the final release of the driver before these adapters were discontinued, a fix for this bug was released with the v18.33.17.1. driver in package release v21.10.1. "

Although it's off topic, do you have any back up of amd legacy drivers too?
My HP has AMD Radeon HD 8600M graphics card. After upgrading to W11 once in a wile it gave me blues screen of death.
Run display driver uninstall in safe mode and now i am stuck. Trying to install Adrenalin and it freezes.
I would apreciate any help.
Thank you!

Hi:
I can't find any specs on your notebook other than it has an Intel processor and you mentioned the AMD graphics which means it has the AMD/Intel switchable graphics.
Can you tell me what model HD 8600M GPU it has such as the HD8650 or 8670?
With HP having removed support for all consumer class PC's over 10 years old, it is very difficult to find the original drivers that were released by HP anymore.
Normally with the switchable graphics setups, you can only use the HP drivers.

Hello again.
I've never encountered problems before so i don't remember which one exactly.
In device manager info. it says Device PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6660&SUBSYS_2164103C&REV_00\4
which if i'm not mistaken, corresponds to 8670M.
Thank God i kept my old hdd when i did a migration to a ssd. At least everything works fine now that i'm back to W10.
