Replaced the originally built in wifi adapter Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11 bgn 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter with this one listed in the maintenance guide to get AC: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9461 802.11 AC 1×1 WiFi + BT5 Combo Adapter (L25889-005)
Now the machine won't boot. The power LED is on but the screen remains dark/black. No message.
What's wrong?
I bought the new adapter here: https://www.alternate.de/Intel/Dual-Band-WLAN-AC-9461-M-2-WLAN-Adapter/html/product/1469320
Does it possibly have to do with legacy boot mode?

Did you ACTUALLY buy the right part number from HP ? Which is the following part

Please return that adapter and buy a right one.
Regards.

@Banhien
Well, unfortunately the original HP part L25889-005 seems to be out of stock at the moment, that's why I ordered the one mentioned above.
It is kind of sad that people are made to buy the "original" "right" HP parts through what I assume is some sort of BIOS based white listing.
What happened to the good old compatibility? 5-10 years back one could simply buy whatever PCI card and plug it in some pc and it would simply work with the right driver.
Nowadays I buy some M2 card with the right measurements and model number listed in the maintenance manual, plug it in my laptop ... and the BIOS will reject it because it's not an original HP part? What the ....?
