HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everybody,

Does anybody know if it is possible to deactivate and activate the bluetooth function and wifi function seperately if the laptop has a combo chip? (802.11b/g/n (1x1) Wi-Fi" and Bluetoth 4.2 combo)

Thank you

Hi:

Yes, with W10 you can turn the BT on or off in the settings menu.

Click on the Windows icon on the bottom left corner of the task bar.

Click on the Settings gear.

Click on Devices (Bluetooth, Printer, Mouse).

When the window opens you should see that the first item listed is bluetooth and the radio button indicates on.

Simply click on that button to turn the bluetooth off or on.

For wifi, click on the settings gear, this time select Network and Internet (WiFi, Airplane Mode, VPN).

Click on the wifi icon on the left side of the window, where it is shaded.

Wifi should show on, click on the button to turn the wifi on or off.
