Hi @Gitanjalis297,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP All-in-One (AIO) computer is not recognizing or connecting to the keyboard and mouse, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.

Check USB Connections:

  • Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are securely connected to the USB ports on the AIO.
  • Try connecting them to different USB ports to rule out a port-specific issue.

Use Wired Devices:

  • If you are using wireless keyboard and mouse, try switching to wired ones. This can help determine whether the issue is related to the wireless connection.

Restart the Computer:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart your HP AIO and check if the keyboard and mouse work after the reboot.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure that your AIO has the latest drivers installed for USB controllers. You can update drivers through the Device Manager in the Windows operating system.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the keyboard and mouse for any physical damage, loose cables, or bent pins. Replace the cables or devices if any damage is found.

Try a Different Keyboard and Mouse:

  • If possible, try using a different keyboard and mouse to see if the issue persists. This can help identify whether the problem lies with the devices themselves.

Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Restart your AIO and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing the appropriate key during the startup process (common keys include Del, F2, F10, or Esc).
  • Check if the keyboard and mouse work in the BIOS/UEFI environment. If they do, the issue may be related to the operating system.

System Restore:

  • If the issue started recently, consider using System Restore to revert your AIO to a previous state when the keyboard and mouse were working correctly.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date with the latest Windows updates. Updates may include fixes for compatibility issues.

Reset USB Hub:

  • If your AIO has a USB hub, try resetting it. Unplug all USB devices, wait for a few seconds, and then reconnect them.

Remember to follow the specific instructions provided in your HP AIO manual or support documentation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
