Dear community,
I have a HP Elitebook 645 G9 and I'm trying to install a SIM card.
My SIM card slot is not opening, I tried to push it several times with different tools but still the tray is not coming out.
My PN is 5Y3J2EA.
I checked on the specs and the SIM slot should be available on this model.
Is there a specific way to do it or a way to open it via software?

Hi:
According to the parts list for the product number you posted, the notebook does not have a WWAN adapter which is needed for a SIM card to work.
WWAN is an optional feature and not standard.
If the notebook came with a WWAN adapter that slot would have been accessible and not blocked.
Even if the slot was open that doesn't necessarily mean that a WWAN adapter is installed.
The easiest way to check if your notebook came with the optional WWAN adapter would be to go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and in order to use a cellular network, your notebook must have the following WWAN adapter listed in chapter 3, page 21 of the service manual at the link below:
Intel XMM 7560 R + LTE-Advanced Pro WWAN (Cat 16)
