Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion x360 14-ba090na. I noticed for a while I have had slow internet (WiFi) thinking it was just a bad location in the house where the laptop is usually located. It wasn't until I unplugged the laptop to move it, that the internet speed increased quite a bit.
I have followed a couple of guides which involved: running windows troubleshoot, forgetting and reconnecting to the wifi network, changing power management settings, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers and Reset TCP/IP stack. nothing has helped.
I have attached an image of the speed test results. This was done by running the test, unplugging the laptop, waiting about 5-10 seconds and running the test again, not moving the laptop a millimetre.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi @Clickie1
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd suggest try updating the computer using these steps -
Step 1 Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Download and install the BIOS from this link.
If the issue still persists, test the Wi-Fi adapter -
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to Component test.
5) From the list, run the Wi-Fi module test.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Asmita,
Thanks for the replay,
it still doesn't seem to be working.
I have done all the steps, there were 2 or 3 updates needed, all of them have been updated including the bios. I had done the test unplugged and plugged and both times it passed.
I just bought a larger 95w charger, I read on another forum someone had a similar problem and they said it might be down to a loss of power when charging. I didn't mention it in the last post, but I updated the ram on my laptop and added another SSD HD, I don't know if that would affect the WiFi on my laptop.
Thanks again.
