I am having issues with my Soundcore Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones not staying connected to bluetooth. I have found out on message boards that they are having issues with Windows 10 Bluetooth drivers. I am not seeing the drivers that they recommend you to update. But, I've tried several other things and I still can't get them to stay connected longer than 10-20 seconds. I have even done a hard restart on the headphones as the company suggests.
They work perfectly with my iPhone. They just won't stay connected to a laptop that has Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi @Marino_R
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Let’s tackle this and figure out why your Soundcore Life Q20 headphones won't stay connected to your HP Pavilion x360 laptop with Windows 10.
Since the headphones work fine with your iPhone, let us check the Bluetooth drivers or settings on your laptop.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
1. Check for Bluetooth Driver Updates
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Expand the Bluetooth section.
Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter (e.g., Intel, Qualcomm, or Realtek) and select Update Driver.
Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. If no updates are found, proceed to download drivers manually (step below).
2. Manually Install the Latest Bluetooth Driver
Visit the HP Support website specific to your Pavilion x360 model (HP Support) and search for the latest Bluetooth driver.
Alternatively, check the website of your Bluetooth adapter manufacturer (Intel, Qualcomm, etc.) for the most recent driver.
Download and install the driver, then restart your laptop.
3. Adjust Bluetooth Power Management Settings
Windows sometimes disconnects Bluetooth devices to save power:
In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
Go to the Power Management tab.
Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click OK and restart your system.
4. Remove and Re-Pair the Headphones
Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
Locate your headphones, select them, and click Remove device.
Turn off Bluetooth on your laptop and restart it.
Enable Bluetooth, put your headphones into pairing mode, and pair them again.
5. Disable Hands-Free Telephony (if applicable)
If your headphones have a microphone, the hands-free telephony feature can sometimes cause issues:
Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
Go to the Recording tab, select your headphones, and click Properties.
Under the Advanced tab, uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.
Click OK and test the connection.
6. Update Windows 10
Ensure that your system is fully updated, as some patches include fixes for Bluetooth issues:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click Check for Updates and install any pending updates.
7. Use the Bluetooth Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
Select Additional Troubleshooters, then choose Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter.
Follow the prompts to resolve detected issues.
