I know there were earlier threads on this but they've been locked.  I just wanted to say I have the same issue with this HP mouse not connecting quickly.  It does eventually connect, it just takes well over a minute to connect before the pointer starts to move.  Very annoying.  Why HP doesn't fix this is beyond understanding.  I'd get a Logitech USB mouse, which works flawlessly on my other laptops, but this HP laptop only has one USB port and I use it for other devices.  I wish HP would correct this.  And, yes, I've checked for all the updates on BIOS and drivers and I'm good.
