HP ZBook 15 GPavilion 65XX

Good morning,

i am using an HP ZBook 15 G2 with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro ver. 10.0.18362 build 18362.

I can't use the wifi network and the LAN network at the same time because as soon as I connect the network cable, the wifi network is automatically disabled. Even trying to use the bridge I can't because the wifi interface is disabled.

In the past I have often used also with other PCs the wifi connection to my cellphone in hotspot and the network connection to the device that I had to configure; to give the possibility of assistance for example to the supplier of the device, where I could not have the device online.

Another example in which I have problems is the use of a vpn towards the office in these conditions, pc connected in wifi - I establish the connection - as soon as the vpn is active, the network card created by the vpn deactivates the wifi card. If instead I use a wired connection I have no problems.

Thanks to anyone who wants to give me a clue on how to fix it.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi:

See if this works...

Go into the BIOS and make sure the LAN/WLAN Switching setting is disabled.

If the LAN/WLAN Switching setting is disabled, and the wifi still turns off when the ethernet cable is plugged in, do this...

Go to the Windows control panel>system & security>administrative tools> services.

Stop the "HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching UWP Service" and change the startup to manual.

Now both the WIFI and ETHERNET should work at the same time.
