Hi @Reba02,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing issues with internet connectivity on your HP Laptop PC 15s that require a restart to resolve can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue.

Check Wi-Fi/Network Settings: Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on and that your laptop is connected to the correct network. Sometimes, laptops can inadvertently disconnect from Wi-Fi networks.

Restart Router/Modem: Sometimes, the issue may lie with your router or modem. Try restarting these devices to see if it resolves the connectivity problem.

Update Network Drivers: Outdated or corrupted network drivers can cause connectivity issues. Go to the Device Manager, locate your network adapter, right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Alternatively, you can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Reset Network Settings: Resetting network settings can sometimes resolve connectivity issues. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset, then follow the prompts to reset your network settings.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any available Windows updates. Sometimes, updates can include fixes for connectivity issues.

Run Network Troubleshooter: Windows includes a built-in network troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix common connectivity problems. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, then select "Internet Connections" and follow the prompts.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, security software can interfere with internet connectivity. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software and see if it resolves the issue.

Check for Interference: Ensure that there are no physical obstructions or sources of interference between your laptop and the Wi-Fi router. Other electronic devices, thick walls, and metal objects can all interfere with Wi-Fi signals.

Reset TCP/IP Stack: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type the following commands one by one, pressing Enter after each:

netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the internet connectivity issue on your HP Laptop PC 15s.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
