Hello,

For a couple of months now I have been experiencing intermittent internet outages. I've had a technician from my ISP come out to see if the problem was within their equipment.

The tech said that it was my computer and it keeps going to WPA3 protocol and they are not equipped for that as of yet. How do I get my computer to stop trying to connect to the WPA3 protocol?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

To stop Windows from automatically, connecting to a Wi-Fi network in the future, you can simply choose this option while connecting to a network. When you select a network in the Wi-Fi popup menu, uncheck the “Connect automatically” box before you click the “Connect” button.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Hello,

I ended up calling HP Support and got the answers to my problem. There are still some issues regarding my WiFi settings to which I will have to call my ISP.

Thanks for your assistance.
