I visited the premises with their new SSID and clicked on "Available Networks", right at the top of the list was their new system GK_Free_WiFi.
Thank you very much Ub6424 and Paul_Tikkanen for your help in getting this done.
It is particularly pleasing for me that it has been achieved while still remaining on Windows version 1607 and keeping blocked all the massive and bloated MS Updates including Anniversary and Accumulative etc. etc.
I'm so pleased that I am considering starting a new thread in the future to see if the same can be done with my wife's Stream laptop which is a much better machine than mine with a lot more Ram. It has Windows 8.1 installed so might present a more difficult challenge.

Thanks Ub6424
I am familiar with Restore Points but find they are not very reliable. During the lengthy period I have been trying to stop and delete updates from MS I have sometimes had to re-format my HD's then go back to factory settings. It has caused me to actually hate MS. I delete all their bloated software and do not use it. I have created System Images on external HD's for all my machines including those using W7. MS even started downloading telepathy on those, sometimes hidden in Security Updates. They really have become despicable.
