Hello!
Since past one week, I am unable to connect any wifi network. When I am running the windows network diagnostics, it is showing error " VMnet 1 and VMnet8 do not have a valid ip configuration".
How can I resolve this issue.

Hi @shrikanth0726,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Based on the error message you provided, it appears that you are running a virtual machine software (such as VMware) on your computer, and it is causing issues with your Wi-Fi connectivity.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.
- Disable any virtual network adapters: Open your virtual machine software and check if any virtual network adapters are active. If so, try disabling them and see if that resolves the issue.
- Check your network settings: Make sure your virtual machine software is not using the same IP address range as your Wi-Fi network. If it is, change the virtual machine's IP address range to a different subnet.
- Restart your network services: Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type the following commands one by one.
- netsh winsock reset
- netsh int ip reset
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ipconfig /flushdns
- Restart your computer
- Update your virtual machine software: If the issue persists, try updating your virtual machine software to the latest version.
- Check your firewall settings: Ensure that your firewall is not blocking any incoming or outgoing connections from your virtual machine.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
