Hi @NK0703

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to see the Wi-Fi icon and think your Wi-Fi driver may be deleted or uninstalled, here are steps you can take to repair the issue:

1. Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Look for Network adapters and expand the section. If you see your Wi-Fi adapter listed (it might have a yellow exclamation mark), right-click on it and select Update driver.

2. Reinstall Wi-Fi Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver upon reboot.

3. Use Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Sometimes, missing drivers are included in Windows updates.

4. Download Drivers Manually:

  • Visit the manufacturer’s website (like HP, Lenovo, etc.) and navigate to the support or drivers section.
  • Enter your laptop’s model number and download the latest Wi-Fi driver for your operating system.

5. Run the Network Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter to diagnose and fix issues.

6. Check for Physical Wi-Fi Switch:

  • Some laptops have a physical switch or a function key (like F2 or F12) to enable/disable Wi-Fi. Ensure it’s turned on.

7. Reset Network Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset. This will remove and reinstall all your network adapters.

8. Check BIOS Settings:

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS/UEFI (usually by pressing F10, F2, or DEL during startup). Ensure that the wireless functionality is enabled.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
