What manufacturer of network adapter is installed in the Pavilion 15-n268sr laptop ???
HP Support Assistant - no updates
Windows 7 driver does not find
sp63974.exe - writes that the device is not connected.
I did not find any other drivers 😞

Hi:
If your notebook has an Intel processor and chipset, make sure you have first installed the Intel chipset driver and restarting the PC, prior to installing the ethernet adapter driver.
This is the latest chipset driver from Intel. The 2nd file down on the left side of the page is the auto install file.
Please post the hardware ID for the ethernet adapter that needs the driver.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.

You're very welcome.
Now that you have installed the latest Intel chipset driver, I would try the latest driver for that model directly from Realtek.
Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W7 driver at the link below.
