Hello Everyone,
I own one of the olde beasts from HP, the HP Envy DV7-7305eo, which is still serving me best. I have never had any issues with this notebook, except for the overheating. However, I look forward to upgrading its builtin wifi module Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 (SPS: 670290-001) with a newer and faster wifi module, ideally with a dual-band Wifi-Bluetooth combo with AC support. I have already consulted the DV7 service and maintenance manual for replacement cards, but I couldn't find a part number for a suitable dual-band wifi module.
I have also come to know the "BIOS whitelisting thing", which is kind of frightening 😉
Can anyone please suggest a good module that has dual-band Wifi-Bluetooth combo with AC support for my machine (e.g. Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0, Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260AN 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi + BT4.0 or similar), and which is also supported by my BIOS (Whitelist)?
Thank you for your time and support in advance.

Hi:
Anyone with the Intel dv7-7000 or higher models such as yours, use this model card and part number...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
The card is readily available on eBay or Amazon.
Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.
