You're very welcome.

Either one of these cards should work fine if you add a second antenna wire:

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo   HP part # 724935-001.

They do make a Wi-Fi 6 card that would fit in your notebook's Wi-Fi card slot, but it may be hard to find in Lebanon.

I have been tempted to buy one myself, but I hardly use the notebook.

Hi:

Your notebook only has one Wi-Fi antenna wire, and a dual band Wi-Fi card would require two antenna wires to work properly.

Hello Dear Paul,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes my notebook only has 1 antenna wire, but if I will buy another internal antenna, which Wifi card will you recommend to buy and install? (I prefer Wifi 5 ac with Bluetooth 4.2) or (Wifi 6 ax with bluetooth 5.)

Thank you very much Dear Paul for your time.

Hello again,

I'm really grateful,

So can I find this Wifi 6 card on Ali Express? I usually buy my needs from Ali Express. Can you give me more than one choice of wifi 6 please to find an item with affordable price.

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! US $14.92 43%OFF | WiFi 6E MPE-AXE3000H Mini PCI-E Wifi Card Bluetooth 5.2 AX210 Network Card 802.11AX/AC Wireless Adapter

You're very welcome.

Yes, that one should work just fine.

I forgot about Ali Express...

That's a steal for that price.

Thanks Dear Paul for your time,

Sorry for many questions😅 but last one please: When I will install the wifi card, need I install drivers for wifi and bluetooth? And from where I will get these drivers?

HP Recommended

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Make sure that you get the right type of antenna wire...the ones for the HMC form factor cards and not the M.2 form factor cards.

The M.2 form factor cards have much smaller connectors.

W10 should automatically install the drivers the card needs, but if not, you can get them from the Intel website:

Wi-Fi:

Windows® 10 and Windows 11* Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters

Bluetooth:

Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*

Please post back and let us know how your notebook's Wi-Fi card upgrade project went.

Ohh thanks for your advice about the antenna wire connector, I didn't know about this difference between the 2 antenna connectors.

Anyway, I am really grateful for your kindness and this effective and wonderful help.

Sincerely yours,

Ramy Haydar
