Upgrade of Wireless Card

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion 15-cs0701ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

so basically I want to upgrade my wifi card to INtel AX 200. But I am not sure if there is a whitelist in the BIOS which prevents this.

Thank you in advance.

Hi:

HP does not release any info on what notebooks have BIOS whitelists.

Most HP notebooks made after 2013 do not have BIOS whitelists.

However, your notebook has about just as bad an issue....it only comes with one antenna wire and the AX200 needs to have two.

If you look at a picture of the Realtek RTL8821CE wifi card your PC has, you will see that there is only one terminal on the card to connect an antenna wire to.
