Hi, I've been thinking for a long time now to upgrade the current wireless card Broadcom BCM43142 bgn as it performs very poorly it terms of speed and signal strength and replace it with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.

It should fit right on as they both are half length mini-PCIe cards with two antennas.

My concern is however whether or not the card would be compatible with my notebook, as I've heard HP imposes BIOS restrictions on some notebooks regarding wireless cards.

I should note that I'm using the latest BIOS version available, F.57 Rev.A (sp92961).

It would be very useful if anyone could share some information on the matter.
