Hi. My husband bought me a Laptop at Costco HP Laptop 14 the system identifies it as 30J32AV when I look under side it says model number 14-dq2053cl.
He recently upgraded the network in our house to several Wifi 6 routers by ASUS and imesh. Since he did that his Dell XPS 13 9370 with wifi 5 adapter is speeding at wifi speeds around 700-800 mb/sec while mine also with a wifi 5 adapter the HP 14 is only going at 100-120 mb/sec. He upgraded my drivers and bios and still slow compared to his. I like to stream a lot of 4K movies from Netflix and I need more speed like his.....😅
My HP 14 has a wifi 5 adapter (Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter) and he suggested maybe upgrading to a wifi 6 (AX 200 or the latest AX 210). But I dont know if my laptop wifi 5 card is upgradable (removable) or is solded to motherboard.
Anyone can tell us if this laptop the HP 14 stated above can be upgraded to wifi 6. We have seen videos in YouTube about how easy is to buy one AX 210 in Amazon and change the chip but we are not sure this laptop will allow us to risk opening to find we cannot do it? By looking at service manual we cannot tell

Hi:
Unfortunately, HP only has the service manual for the older 14-dq0xxx model series available.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC
Since your notebook came with the Realtek RTL8822CE Wi-Fi adapter, which needs two antenna wires in order for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to work, I don't see any reason why the Intel AX210 or AX200 wouldn't work, but I can't 100% guarantee that either card will, since no service manual is available to show the list of supported Wi-Fi cards for that model series.
You just have to make sure that you buy the non-vPro version of either card.
The part number for the AX200 is:
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro HP part # L35282-005
The part number for the AX210 is:
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX210 + Bluetooth 5.2 (non-vPro) HP Part # M27269-005
