The issue revolves around the Wi-Fi option missing from the laptop, leaving the user unable to connect to any wireless networks. This absence is not just a minor inconvenience; it has completely severed their access to the internet for two days, hindering online communication, work, and access to vital resources.

The user is baffled by this unexpected situation, as there are no apparent reasons for the Wi-Fi functionality to vanish. They may have tried to troubleshoot the problem through basic methods, like checking the Wi-Fi switch, toggling airplane mode, or restarting the device, but none have resolved the issue. This situation not only creates practical challenges but also increases frustration as the user seeks a solution to restore their online connectivity.

Hi @Soham_342,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP laptop's Wi-Fi option!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Wi-Fi Settings and Connectivity

Airplane Mode: Ensure that Airplane mode is turned off. You can check this by pressing the Windows + A keys to open the Action Center, where you can toggle Airplane mode.

Wi-Fi Switches: Some laptops have physical switches or function keys (Fn + a specific key) to enable/disable Wi-Fi. Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on.

Verify Network Adapter

Device Manager:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
  • Under Network adapters, check for your Wi-Fi adapter. If it's listed but disabled, right-click on it and select Enable.
  • If you don't see your network adapter, click on View > Show hidden devices in Device Manager.

Update Drivers:

  • Right-click on the network adapter in Device Manager and select Update driver.
  • You can choose to search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Network Adapter

  1. Uninstall and Reinstall:
    • In Device Manager, right-click on your network adapter and select Uninstall device.
    • After uninstallation, restart your laptop. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.

Run Network Troubleshooter

  1. Network Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Network Adapter and run the troubleshooter.

Check BIOS Settings

  1. BIOS Configuration:
    • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10, F2, or Del during startup).
    • Verify that the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled.

Restore System to Previous State

  1. System Restore:
    • Boot into the Recovery Environment.
    • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.
    • Choose a restore point prior to when the Wi-Fi option vanished.

I hope this helps.
