@GECook, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're experiencing a connectivity issue on your HP Victus 15. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Wi-Fi Physical Switch/Key: Ensure that the Wi-Fi switch on your laptop (if available) is turned on. Some HP laptops have a physical switch or key combination (usually involving the “Fn” key) to enable/disable Wi-Fi.

Enable Wireless Adapter:

  • Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi adapter is enabled. If not, right-click on the adapter and select “Enable”.

Network Troubleshooter:

  • Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Click on Network Troubleshooter and follow the instructions.

Check Windows Update:

  • Ensure your system is up to date by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Download and install any available updates.

Restart Networking Services:

  • Open Run by pressing Windows key + R.
  • Type services.msc and hit Enter.
  • Locate and restart services like WLAN AutoConfig.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters and check if the Wi-Fi adapter is listed.
  • If there is an exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver or Scan for hardware changes.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and select Network reset.
