WIFI 6 (AX) card for AMD HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ecxxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone!

I turn to the HP community for support in choosing an AX network card that is compatible with an HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec computer, running Windows 10 (64), AMD Ryzen CPU, and Realtek RTL8822ce 802.11ac PCIe network card adapter.

Despite having gone through some of the other discussions, it remains unclear the true requirements to determine whether or not an AX network card (WIFI 6) is compatible with this model. I have noticed that several of these network cards include an Intel chipset, and for some reason, they mention in the same product description (on Amazon or Ebay) that these are NOT compatible with HP equipment, among some others. So far, I've understood that in order for a network card to work on my device it must be 'non vProd', but, is that really it?

I can confirm that the current component is dual-band, so although I imagine an AX card should be compatible, I have not been able to find a clear answer on this, and the very specific statement of 'not compatible with HP devices' has left me quite doubtful. If there were any specific ones that you could recommend for reference, it would be of great help.

In advance, Thanks for the support!

Hi:

My HP x360 15-ee0047nr notebook has the AMD Ryzen 4500U processor, and came from HP with this model wifi card, which may also work in your model too.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

You can find this model card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

It is important that Intel cards going into consumer class notebooks, must be non-vPro or they will not work.
