HP Notebook 15-dy1079ms
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have an HP Notebook 15-dy1079ms with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz and 32GB RAM, running Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.2033. I would like to upgrade my WIFI card to AXE (WIFI 6E) or BE (WIFI 7).

I was looking at either the:

Intel AX210 WIFI 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.3 M.2 2230

or the

Intel BE200 WIFI 7 2x2 BE + Bluetooth 5.4 M.2 2230

Will one of these cards work with this laptop. If not what other options do I have to upgrade to WIFI 6E or WIFI 7?

I know that the current card has one antenna so I will have to add another one for the BT to work on the new card.

Thank you!

Hi @aetinoco

I think that neither of the two will work because your device has a single antenna Wi-Fi card.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo

The intel wi-fi aux connector has Bluetooth and Wi-fi connection, but this limits the range of the wi-fi card and its speed in case it works with only one connector.
