Good evening. The wifi signal just disappeared and there is no option to find it or configure it somewhere/somehow. I ran diagnostic tests but they did not find any issues.Does anybody knows how i can fix it???
Right now i can only be online using cable for internet.

@GIORGOSZ, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your Wi-Fi suddenly disappears. Let’s walk through a few steps to help restore your wireless connectivity.
Check if the Wireless Adapter is Enabled
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Look for your wireless adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel, or MediaTek Wireless Adapter).
- If it has a down arrow, right-click and select Enable.
Power Reset the Laptop
Sometimes a simple power reset can restore hardware functionality:
- Shut down the laptop.
- Unplug the power adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power and turn the laptop back on.
Run HP Network Diagnostics
HP provides a built-in tool to help diagnose and fix network issues:
- Press Windows + S and search for HP Support Assistant.
- Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security > HP Network Check.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you don’t have HP Support Assistant, you can download it here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
Reinstall the Wireless Driver
- Go to Device Manager > Network adapters.
- Right-click your wireless adapter and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Alternatively, you can manually download the latest driver from the HP support page: Official HP® Support
Check BIOS Wireless Settings
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F10 to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and ensure Wireless LAN is enabled.
- Save and exit.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
