Wireless network disappeared today on HP Pavilion 15 notebook - was working fine yesterday.
Internet currently working with ethernet cable plugged in. Device manager does not show the wireless adapter. Below is from 'System Information'

Description: Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
Physical address (MAC): d8:5d:e2:e1:85:85
Status: Not Present
Maximum transmission unit: 0

I have tried installing the latest Windows update (Win10 64 bit), but wireless network still not working. Please help. Thank you

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Appreciate all your time and efforts
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you facing this issue after an update?
Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu and run the network test.
-
Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
-
Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
-
On the main menu, click Component Tests.
-
The Component Tests menu displays.
Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.
Network Test - This test checks the network controller. To run this test, connect to a network with a network cable. The test will attempt to configure the network controller using DHCP and communicate with the DHCP server.
To run the test, click Network, and then click Run Once.
The Network test time is 1 minute.
Keep me posted with the test results for the further assistance.
Have a great day!
Cheers:)
