I have tried all wlan cards listed in the maintenance manual and none work except for slow wlan which came with notebook.  I would really like to have Bluetooth capability.  What wifi card will work.  I would like the part number if possible to order component from HP.

Thank you in advance for information.

You're very welcome.

The card you bought...even if it had been accepted by the BIOS whitelist, the Ralink Bluetooth v2.1 would not work on W10.

None of the models listed with BT will work on W10--not even the Broadcom 4313 with BT v.4.0.

Pretty much only notebooks made after 2013 will have working bluetooth on W10.

I can think of one exception and that being the old HP bluetooth module that was not supplied with your model series.

If you have to have bluetooth, then your only option would be to purchase an external usb bluetooth adapter.

Some are so small you can hardly see them sticking out of the USB port.

Hi:

Your notebook is not supported by HP for W10, and there are no wlan cards with bluetooth that I know of for that model, where the bluetooth will work on W10.

None of the ones listed in the service manual would have working bluetooth on W10.

There is only one wlan card listed for your notebook in the parts list, (Intel 6150?), which is probably why none of the others you tried worked.

Enter the product number for your PC in the box at the link below to get the parts list.   A6X02UA

There is a BIOS whitelist on that model series, which prevents any unsupported wlan cards from being installed.

Thank you for replying.  I wish I had known about this issue before I purchased this notebook.  I went by what was in the Maintence Manual for suggested wlan modules and there was one in the manual that was for Intel Processors only.  That was Ralink RT3090BC4 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo adapter
(BT3.0+HS ready)  Part Number 630705-001.  I just don't understand why HP didn't refer me to the page you did in the beginning instead of putting those wifi cards in the Maintenance Manual?

I would like to know whether anyone was able to successfully upgrade their DV706c95dx.

And, I would again like to thank the responder to my post.
