The wifi signal strength used to be great but recently the signal has been very weak with only one bar(sometimes not even connected) when sitting in a room near the wifi router. Earlier it used to have a very strong signal in the same position. The router is fine as it is working well with every other device. Also, the internet speed is as it was, despite the weak signals but the internet gets disconnected going even a little far from the router...
Product name & number: HP 14-dk1000 Laptop PC (8VZ02AV)
Driver: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
The driver is up to date. I have tried a number of fixes but nothing has worked thus far.

Hi:
This is the latest driver HP has for the Realtek 8821CE Wi-Fi adapter, which is newer than any of those on your notebook's support page.

It's possible that something has happened to the antenna wire if the signal strength suddenly and recently degraded.
It would be a considerable amount of work to open up the notebook to check if a disconnected or broken antenna wire could be the problem.
