Hi, 

 

I am having issues with my web cam not working after motherboard was swapped out to a different board.

 

The motherboard is

HP laptop 15s-eq2xxx

System SKU- 4J6H1EA#ABU

AMD Ryzen 7 5700U

 

The faulty motherboard was from HP Laptop HP laptop 15s-fq5023na 

Intel i7

 

I have checked some of the parts and it looks like it's the same part number for the cable from motherboard to camera, I thought it was maybe the cable was configured differently. The camera gets really hot as well and the microphone works just not the camera.

I was wondering if the web cam from the system HP15S-FQ is not compatible with a HP15S-EQ motherboard? I have ordered one that came from an HP15S-EQ2 so hopefully that will work but just looking for any further information, guidance etc. 

I can't do anything with drivers because windows does not even detect the camera in device manager.
