HP Notebook 14-dq1043cl

Please help me identify a compatible docking station for my home computer laptop.  I have a monitor with HDMI (HP) as well as HP laptop.  My attempts at installing a docking station do not seem to work when the USB C port is used, although the port is active and powered.

What do you mean ? Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06599980

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
