HP Envy 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Experts.

I've just received an HP Envy 15.

The wireless speeds were very poor, worse than my 6 year old laptop, all my android devices, PC, etc.

In the HP Command Center, I went to Network Booster, and changed from Off to Auto.

All of a sudden my download speeds increased in the Chrome browser, but not in Edge (when tested with speedtest.net and other speed test sites).

What is going on? By default are speeds being throttled someone by HP Software?

My speeds in Edge are about 1/3 of speeds in Chrome. I also downloaded speedtest to the PC and it has poor speeds, less than when tested by Chrome.

How do I completely disable any throttling based on application? Why is the default so poor?

I am on the verge of sending back this laptop if it is messing with the performance of applications.

   Thanks!

Well same thing is in my Envy 15. Solution is to turn off HP Command center until they fix it.
