Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I currently have an HP Pavilion 15-au063nr (W2L52UA#ABA) that uses a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn wifi adapter that only supports 2.4Ghz and I would like to know what wifi adapter can I use on my laptop that is compatible and can support 5Ghz?

Yes any 802.11ac usb adapter would be compatible and there are many sold on amazon.com if you are in the USA or other place with Amazon prime delivery:

I point out this one based on reasonable price and small profile:

https://www.amazon.com/Autley-AC600Mbps-802-11ac-Wireless-10-4-10-12/dp/B06Y6615YJ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?i...

When you plug this in and load the driver you will now show 2 wifi connectors in the task bar in the lower right when you choose the network interface.

Just turn off the original internal one and work with the USB. These are just about as good as an internal one and obviously cheap and a snap to install.

Select as "solution" please if this is what you needed and it works for you.

Here is the Service manual:

Manual

The bad news is on p. 2:

Wireless Integrated Wireless options with single antenna (M.2/PCIe)

Realtek RTL8723BE-VB 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter

Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter

So the problem is the single antenna lead inside the laptop. Any dual band 2.4/5ghz card needs 2 antennae to work right.

An antenna can be added but it is a very big job. Easiest thing is a usb 802.11ac adapter.

Post back with questions but please accept as solution if its the info you needed even if not exactly what you wanted to hear.

Thanks for the reply, any USB 802.11ac adapter you would recommend? Will any 802.11 aca adapter be compatible?
