Workstation portable G2 HP Zbook 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Workstation portable G2 HP Zbook 17 with Windows 10 (64bit).

This trouble was always there and I cannot find a solution:

1. If I don't have any ethernet connection, the wifi is enabled and works normally

2. Every time I connect to any ethernet network (by cable or usb), the wifi automatically is disabled.

3. No way to enable it

What can I do?

FOR YOUR FEEDBACK

I have found the solution, after several attemps:

- going in services from advanced settings in control panel, I stopped "HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching UWP Service" and put it in manual.

- now both WIFI and ETHERNET are enabled togheter.

Hi:

There should be a BIOS setting in your notebook called LAN/WLAN Switching.

The default setting is Enabled.

To have the wifi and ethernet working at the same time, change the LAN/WLAN Switching setting to Dsiabled.

Save the setting and exit the BIOS.

Now, both the wifi and ethernet should work at the same time.

Dear Paul, thank you for your fast reply.

I had already tried to change this BIOS configuration, but it doesn't work. Wifi is always disabled when ethernet is connected.

Prego.

Thanks for letting me know about that setting, so I can help others in the future.
