I have been trying to keep my old G62 laptop going by upgrading it. By far, memory is added to 8192 MB, 1T SSD. The last thing I would like to do is the wifi element. I just come to realize that I do not have to much chooses because of whitelist issue. The one I have is the PPD-AR5B95-H. Is this the best option I can have? Thanks in advance!

It was manufactured around 2010. It is an old machine which has a BIOS whitelist (as you already know) and won't support many newer wifi cards. You can use USB options

2 weeks ago, for testing, I bought the following wifi card for my 11 years old machine
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/60514-7265.NGWWB.W
Unfortunately my machine uses different format, not M.2, physically won't fit therefore I went to the shop and swap to the following one (I did not have to pay more, they are same price):
https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO
And it works perfectly, get same result (download speed) with the 1G wired on same machine.
Regards.
