Product: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the Wi-Fi performance on my laptop. Here are the details:
- Device Model: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
- Wi-Fi Adapter: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
- Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
- Driver Version: 2024.10.229.0 (dated May 16, 2024)
Issue Description:
- The download speed fluctuates between 15 Mbps and 30 Mbps, even though other devices on the same network are consistently getting higher speeds, close to the expected 80 Mbps..
- I have tried the following troubleshooting steps without improvement:
- Network reset and Windows updates
- Adjusting advanced adapter settings (bandwidth, channel width, and preferred band)
- Testing on different Wi-Fi channels and frequencies (2.4GHz and 5GHz)
- Disabling background apps and power-saving options
This issue started after upgrading to Windows 11 Pro, but I'm not sure if that is the root cause.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version because 2024.10.229.0 is out of date.
Version 2024.10.230.2 11/25/2024
