Hello, I have an **HP Envy 360 15ew1073cl** laptop that originally came with an **Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211NGW** card. The network card was replaced with the same model, but it doesn’t work properly. **Windows 11 keeps blocking it.**

The laptop has a **13th Gen Intel i7 processor**, and all three tested cards (same model) work fine in other laptops.

Could someone guide me on how to stop Windows from causing issues with this card? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install this model Wi-Fi card instead:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. The solution you propose is one of the options I have in mind to solve the problem. However, I find it very interesting that the device specifies 'contains Intel radio model AX211NGW,' yet Windows blocks the card for free

You're very welcome.

Yes, I don't get it either, since the notebook came with that model card.

But those AX211 cards are those peculiar CNVi cards that need the processor in order to work, whereas the AX210 is a standard wifi card that should work in any Intel notebook with a M.2 wifi card slot.

Excellent, Paul. Once again, I appreciate your willingness to help and the quick responses. I'll close this topic

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

This document provides information on Intel CNVi cards:

There are other posts on this forum where folks are having issues with the AX201 and AX211, so you are not alone.

Please post back and let us know if the AX210 worked for your notebook.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul, I wanted to thank you for your time and the detailed information. I’ve been using the AX210 card for about 7 days now, and the laptop has been performing flawlessly. It was quite challenging to install both antennas, but I managed to do it. It hasn’t failed again. Once again, thank you for everything!

You're very welcome, and thanks for letting us know that the AX210 works fine in the HP Envy 360 15ew1xxx model series.

Yes, those antenna wires are very thin and delicate.

I know first hand because I broke the terminals off a Wi-Fi card I was upgrading in a PCIe x1 Wi-Fi adapter.

Then it took me an hour to dig out the broken pieces from the antenna wire connectors so I could connect them to the new card.

I'll never do it again. 😊

Cheers,

Paul
