HP Pavilion 14 bf002-tx
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello,

I want to ask if this laptop doesn't any BIOS Whitelist or something like that, because i want to change this laptop WiFi Card for hackintosh Mojave. According to the service guide here page 30 http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05527168

They recommend only Intel and Realtek wifi card which is not supported by hackintosh.

Can i replace the wifi card with atheros or broadcomm which is supported by hackintosh ? will it readable by the board ? is there anu BIOS whitelist or something like that ?

@ekoprkso Not in this product, there isn't as if it would have been any it would be listed on the same link I shared earlier (for the service and maintenance guide).

I hope that helps.

@ekoprkso The options listed under Page. 3 Chapter 1 Product description of your service and maintenance guide is only for your reference, and cannot be upgraded or changed as they are integrated on the device, the best way forward is to get a Wireless USB Dongle that supports 2x2 dual antenna, there wouldn't be any compatibility issues and you can use it as a portable wifi card when needed, although, that's just my personal suggestion.

Also, HP does not recommend using Hackintosh, instead Windows would be the best OS for your device, however, your device was shipped with FreeDos and you are welcome to install any OS of your choice, we can't provide any support for OS's such as the one you've got installed nor do we support Mojave on an HP device, you are on your own for drivers and software support on Hackintosh.

P.S: Welcome to HP Forums! 😉
