Dear Paul. hope all is well.
I've noticed one odd thing that I wanted to run  by you.
When using Facebook there is a Notification icon and Messenger icon in the top right corner of the page.
A friend sent me an attachment through Messenger and it did not come through to view.
I booted the Linux computer as a test and there it was in Messenger.
I did go ahead and ordered the model your using and I'm hoping this issue will be resolved by that or as well by something you can suggest I try.
The laptop is within 7-10 feet of the modem router.
Any thought or suggestions?

Best, Raphael

Hi, Raphael:

I am unfamiliar with the inner workings of Facebook, so unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be.

I use Facebook. but no one has ever sent me an attachment and I don't use Messenger.

However, I doubt is has anything to do with the USB Wi-Fi adapter you're using.

Hopefully, you will be able to figure it out.

Thanks Paul!
I'll keep my eye on it. Not a huge problem more of a nuisance.
Dunno why the attachment would show up in one laptop and not another.
🤔
Take care,
Raphael

Dear Paul, Hope your doing well.
Recently reinstalled Windows 10 and when I looked in the Device manager there was several of these  Yellow exclamation signs, So I did this step ( I don't know why I chose what I did from the drop down list > Hardware ids.. You can see the results.)
Base System Device>Details>Property>drop down list>chose Hardware Ids.
I can't say for certain if these are affecting my laptop? I did a backup of the drivers using a 3rd party apt but it didn't allow me to reinstall them and like the new "kid on the block" I didn't place them in an ExternalHD or USB stick, Only in a folder and when I did the Custom install all the drivers  and the place where they could be found vanished. :-(.
I do have some Data I found but don't know How to get it back to where it was bfore the reinstallation? things like the Desktop icons/whatever they were. Some were pictures some were PDF's and so on.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your care and expertise..
Sincerely, Ralph

Hi, Ralph:

I'm doing fine and I hope you are as well.

You need this driver for the Base System Devices:

JMicron Media Card Reader Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63637.exe

If you post the hardware ID's for the two unknown devices, I will give you the links to those drivers too.

Dear Paul! Thank You VERY MUCH! Life saver.
Any thoughts on the data/files mentioned in the first message that I'd like to move to the desktop to show those icons if possible. Being a novice at doing reinstallation bound to make a error(s) I ca n send you more screenshots if that'll help?
Take care, Ralph

Hi, Ralph.

If you saved your old user profile's folders (Documents, downloads, desktop, etc.,) you can copy and paste them to your new user profile, and they will overwrite the existing empty folders.

If they are individual files you will have to copy them to their respective folders in your new user profile.

You'll have to individually move the files to the folders you want to move them to.

You can select the picture files for example and move them to the pictures folder.
