The Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 Wi-Fi adapter has a maximum connection speed of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router.
That assumes an excellent signal strength.
Note that the download speed varies and is not the same as the connection speed.
You can verify the connection speed by going to the Windows control panel>network and internet>network and sharing center>view your active networks.
Click on the network connection on the right side of that window and it will show you the speed the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter is connecting at.
This is the latest Wi-Fi driver HP has for the RTL8821CE:
2024.10.228.9
