I updated the drivers but the issue is still presisting. I alread tried performing a clean install of windows but the issue was still there. Would reverting back to windows 8.1 solve the problem or will it still be the same? and what could be the possible cause?

Hi @Alice18
I recommend you to boot to safe mode and check whether the computer freezes when you connect to wireless.
While keeping the Shift key pressed, click or tap on Restart to boot to safe mode.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi @Alice18
I recommend you to perform a clean boot to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update.
Here is how it is done.
- From Start, search for msconfig.
- Select System Configuration from the search results.
- On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.
- On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
- On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
- Close Task Manager.
- On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.
Let me know how it goes.
