Hello jrgrille,

I understand from your message that , when the computer wakes up from sleep, wi -fi connection disappears..

Let me give you a couple of steps , and would request you to tell me if it has helped.

Please right click on the start button. (bottom left corner, the windows icon) and choose device manager.

In the device manager, look for network adapters.. When you expand that , you will find wi-fi adapters below.

Right click on the wi-fi adapter, and choose power management.

Now in the power mgmt. window, you will find 2 options.

1) Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

2) Allow this device to wake the computer.

The 2nd option mostly would not be checked.. You will have to put a check mark on that , click ok ..

Now, please check if it is working.

Thanking You for choosing HP

Regards

Thank you, it's been some days since i applied the changes and it seems to be working just right.

Now it would be great if i buy a computer it comes configured to work properly with its own hardware and not needing me to come and ask around and wasting time to have a properly configured machine
