HP Notebook - 17t-by000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My WiFi connection keeps getting slower. My connection speed should show as atleast 200 Mps. Other connections to my router show that speed and higher. However my computer connection, using the Google speed test or the Ookla speed test now shows anywhere from 10 to 30 Mps download and 7 to 10 upload and is eratic. Windows Network Sharing in Settings shows 325 Mps.

All troubleshooters from HP and Microsoft show that there is no network connection problem except the WiFi stress test, which continues to cancel the test when I put in the router password - which I have thruroughly checked to be correct.

Have run virus tests through Norton and all firewalls are up.

I'm guessing that there is some kind of software glitch going on, but can't find it.

Hi, you may find this helpful unless you have already satisfied with the tests you carried out, you can always refer to this later.

I had done most of what was on the sheet. I did try the msconfig but almost got totally booted out of computer, and it had no effect on speed.

I feel the laptop is fine. Maybe the issue is coming from the ISP. It should work better after a while.
