After an update, I am not able to connect to the wireless internet. It states my wifi is turned off. I don't have a wifi key on my keyboard F12 is for airplane mode. I need help I haven't been able to use my laptop for 3 days now.

Perform a hard reset: - Click here

Click here to access the troubleshooter (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).

It's a software issue. Will the hard reset delete all my files etc.?

Hard reset also known a power drain does not delete any files, it's used only to refresh the system and release any excessive static that could be causing such issues.
