HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have a 15.6 inch 15-ef2013dx model laptop running Windows 11. I've had this laptop less than a year, since May of 2022. For reference, my warranty expires 6/03/2023, in just a few months.

Here's my issue, which happens intermittently: Let's say I turn on my laptop and connect to wifi at my university. If I close it, travel back home to a different wifi network, and then open the laptop up out of sleep mode, it won't connect or even detect any wifi. Clicking the taskbar icon where the wifi icon is does not even give me options for wifi. Every time this happens, I restart the computer. Sometimes, it fixes the issue. 9 times out of 10 it will take a long time trying to restart, then it will give me a bluescreen that says DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

Troubleshooting the wifi issue gave me this:wifi troubleshooting reportwifi troubleshooting report

My techy roommate had me update my bios (I'm somewhat tech-competent, but I'll be honest, I don't really know what this means). We also suspected it was something with the wifi driver, so I have downloaded two separate drivers from the HP website that were supposed to help but have not.

Doesn't happen all the time, but happens enough to be concerning. It's bluescreened on me at least 4 times since I've had it (again, less than a year). One time I had to restart it 5 times before it recognized wifi. The issue has happened since I got the laptop, but didn't happen very often at first. It's gotten worse recently.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Please try: On image 1, please click Battery Saver and turn it off.

Regards.

Battery saver is not on in that image. That's just the icon for it. In addition, I don't think battery saver has anything to do with this issue. I've had battery saver on a couple times and I've encountered the issue with battery saver both on and off.
