Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Today I performed a clean Windows 7 install on a HP 2000 Notebook, but although most things seemed to work upon reinstall, the Ethernet controller, Network Controller, and "PCI Device" did not work. I'd like to focus on the Network Controller and ignore the PCI Device for now. Interestingly, when I looked up this issue, the first thing I found was this solution from this forum, and for some reason the Ethernet controller from that link installed fine, but the Network one didn't. When the setup bar starts moving, it disappears, and WIndows says it may have not installed correctly. The actual installer never appeared except with 1 exception. I then used every option under "Driver Network" for the driver page of the HP 2000, even those that were clearly for LAN anyways, with similar results (for one, the Broadcom Wireless LAN tab flashed for a fraction of the second).

Can you help me find the driver? Or, if there might be something else obstructing the correct driver, could you tell me what that could be? For now, I just want to ask the first question to be absolutely sure I've tried the correct driver.

The target is "Network Controller" under Other Devices on:

Windows 7 Professional 64x. Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601. BIOS Hewlett-Packard F.34 7/27/2011

Some Network Controller Properties: Hardware IDs -

PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C&REV_01

PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C

PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&CC_028000

PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&CC_0280

Physical Device Object Name - \Device\NTPNP_PCI0025

First, I'd like to be absolutely certain to try out the right driver. If that doesn't work, what comes next?

Please and thank you.

Update: IMPORTANT TO MENTION. I have a Windows.old file from the previous installation when the wireless was still working. Would the drivers be located in here? Is it one dll or is it more? If finding the proper driver online doesn't work, would moving the right files from windows.old work?

Hi:

You need this Wi-Fi driver for that ID:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Thanks! This one seemed to work, and I was able to get other problems under control as well. Oddly, it never opened in installer like the ethernet drive, but it still worked. Hopefully there aren't any other driver dry spots.

You're very welcome.

Let me know if you need any other drivers.
